In 2018, I started a new job at the bank, where I was responsible for the delivery of a platform connecting the banking industry and the world of IoT. At that time I also realized that I missed programming. So I started learning how to make my iPhone do what I want it to do. There was a fairly new SWIFT programming language, so I started with it.
Time was an issue so it didn't go as I expected. The second problem was that all the things I wrote were just pieces of code without any purpose.
At the time, my daughters asked me to write some simple examples to practice math. I did it manually, but I started thinking about automation and after a year "Matika na doma" was in the App Store.
I also had to set up a business to upload my apps to the App Store.
I did some basic Facebook marketing and told my friends about my app. After some time, I realized that this app had more than a hundred downloads, some of which were from schools.
This meant to me that what I was doing with a beginner's programming knowledge was meaningful and viable.
My name is Vlastimil Štefl and I am the founder, architect, developer and tester in this company. I don't hold any title like CEO, CFO, CTO, CIA, CRO....because it's just me.
I like technology, I like playing guitar and listening to death metal music. I like to go out with friends, but I also like to be alone and just do something.
I work in banking, but I also do programming in my free time, because it's also my hobby.
